Today's knit project.... EYEBALLS!!!!

I wanted to make some new cat toys, so I decided to make some that look like EYEBALLS!

I think I should have maybe used a pattern because they kind of turned out not entirely round. lol. But I smooshed them into roundness. I didn't make them both the same way. The small one has rows of all "knit one front and back", the bigger one has rows of "knit one, knit one front and back". Oh well. The cats LOVE them. They like to carry them around by the little "nerves" hanging out the back. HAHAHA!!!!

I'm a foul and disgusting human being, aren't I?

On a completely unrelated topic... can you guess what this is and what I am doing with it? I'll reveal all at another time, but feel free to guess, hehehe:

*hearts and flowers*

Sister in law, Deb, sent me some pictures from the family reunion. She got a good one or two of Tsu. *gets all dreamy eyed* Isn't he handsome?

Getting ready for some target shooting:

With his brother and cousins, hahahah... I crack up every time I see these:

I was there, too, with my huge forehead and my knitting:

I even wore my cloche hat for a while. Please explain to me how I weight 135 pounds and still have as big a double chin as I had at 185? lol!:

Tiff is into wearing these ugly glasses, and I "borrowed" them. Hot, dontcha think?

Photobucket

Speaking of Tiff, she went without makeup that day, lol.

This was the look she was going for...

I made her take the glasses off for family pictures:

Oh, I almost forgot....

I saddled Brego up and longed him a bit. He had a brain fart moment but got it quickly back under control. It was the first time he trotted around me to the right and he just humped up his back and tried to bolt. I ended up letting him go because I didn't want to rip anything loose by fighting him, but he runs like 10 steps and stops and looks at me like, "Dang it, woman, what is wrong with you?" *huff huff huff* then he is back to normal. I also turned him loose with it on and ran him a bit so he would see what it felt like to do some running with a saddle on. He was perfectly fine, no silliness about the saddle at all.

He did NOT, however, like it when I pulled on it from the off side. Tomorrow I will saddle him up again and tie a rope to the stirrup leather so I can pull on it while he longes. I like to do that because it gets them used to having their balance effected by weight on the saddle without having someone in the saddle for the first time they feel it. I should have had my camera out there today.

I'm getting really impatient to get up on him. I just wish I had my round pen up. Im really not liking working him in the barn lot. It's too easy for him to get away from me.

Knucklehead.

Brego just tried to urinate on my hoof trimmer. *slaps forehead*

In all my years I have never ever seen a horse who, without warning, would just pee while a trimmer was holding it's foot up off the ground filing away at it. I've only ever been around one or two who would go pee under saddle, let alone while having their feet worked on! Luckily my trimmer got out from under him before he soaked her back. I absolutely can't believe the knucklehead did that. We cracked up. She said that was a first for her. They ALL seem to go poo, but pee? That was a new one.

Oh no, the big scary tarp!!!

I was bored today (yesterday now, hehe), my internet was being stupid, reading "The Nazi Persecution of the Gypsies" is fascinating but depressing as all get out. So after catching up on some sleep after being up literally all night at a friend's house I decided I needed to go hang with the ponies. I have not got much exercise at all since my last gall stone attack so I figured some running around being goofy would be good for me. And for them. Plus I have not had time to do much of anything with them recently because of the health stuff and blahblahblah, so I kind of miss them.

So I decided to do something I have seen other folks do, and drag a tarp out of the big barn to see how they reacted to it. As I was dragging it out I realized either cats or some other vermin had urinated all over it, and it reeked.

This was the initial reaction as I brought it to the gate.

Sparrow says, "What the... !!!!":

OOooooo what is THIS? Something scary or a new toy?

Both boys think it smells funny.

Sparrow didn't like it when I was moving it around, though:

Photobucket

Brego seemed to like walking on it. A lot.

Mary got bored with it really fast and came up behind me to hang out. I ended up using her to lean on. This was looking down at her while I was slouching back against her:

The boys got riled up but not without me running around first to get them going.

A break in the foolishness:

A pretty slow trot around the barn lot:

He was really moving out and decided to go through the scrub willow patch:

I still just have to pinch myself to even believe he is mine. Man I love this horse so much I can hardly even stand it.

I have a few short videos but I can't get them to load properly because my connection is being a jerk tonight, but I did get this one up:

Please excuse the logs laying around. They are too big for me to move by myself.
