Brego hates the heat, and the goats before they eat and after, and a new knit project...
Brego hates the heat. He would rather stand in the shade in the barn then stand in the sun and eat hay. Mary is just as bad, only she uses brego for shade and never passes up hay, no matter how hot it is.
Sparrow doesn't give a hoot either way, i think he actually enjoys the heat.
I got some pictures of the goats with an empty belly and with a full belly because the way they fill their stomach to chew cud later cracks me up.
Before browsing out all day:
after (same day, same goat, 7 hours later):
empty:
Full:
lol.
They make me laugh when they have full bellies and are all bulgy out to the sides.
Oh, I bought this pattern and made a test toy, I think it is cute. It's made on straight needles not round or double pointed. I just used some yarn I got at a garage sale:
I was using needles that were two sizes too big because I didn't have any the size i needed, so he isn't as tight as i would have liked but he turned out pretty good for a test. I got some straights to use of the right size, and plan to make a few more of different, more horse appropriate, colours, and want to try and make a gypsy horse one, lol.
I want to get more of their patterns because they are CUTECUTECUTE!!!

Ohhhh I love the pony!!!! (toy one) yanno I already Love the live ones!
ReplyDeleteI know a little girl who doesn't get much because her family is beyond poor... and I mean BEYOND poor, unless I get it for her. She'd LOVE this pony. Purple pink is her favorite colour. And if you could figure out a dragon type thingie for her younger brother I'd like pay for them and everything!
Jen, I knit up some stuff for some kids for Christmas this year. It was awesome.
ReplyDeleteHow old are they? This pony has button eyes so is for kids like 3+. I'll see what i can find for dragons, i know I had a free pattern but may have lost it when I switched computers.
Abbie is 7ish and Alex is 4. The buttons should be fine =)
ReplyDeleteI buy both of these kids their school clothes and winter coats/boots. I also buy their xmas presents and get them something for their bdays.
Their mom is one of those people who would give you everything any anything she has. She also watched all 3 of my kids while I was going to college and working full time during/after my divorce. She never ever once called me to say she couldn't watch them, or come get them because they were sick.
That pony is cute, cute, cute. I am soooo not ready for anything like that. Still trying to make it past dish clothes and afghans and scarves. I lose it reading patterns and have to rippit and try again..
ReplyDeleteSO cute! Can't wait to see the Gypsy one you make!! I've got a few granddaughters who would love to have one as well.
