horse pictures and craft swap gift....

Photobucket

Today i was expecting a package in the mail. My mail man is... not always the most, um... well... he tends to do less than the minimum required to meet the requirements of his job. Since I was grazing the horses in the yard and the fence crossed the drive I figured he would never walk to the house (he sits out there and honks usually, even when he can pull all the way up to the house) and to be honest i was not entirely sure he would notice the lime green surveyors tape dangling off the wire in time to keep from driving through the temporary fence.

So I went out there around the time the mail normally comes just in case, and spent some time just hanging with the ponies. He was almost 2 hours late, and I got a sun burn on my shoulders while I was waiting but I really enjoyed the time just chilling with the hairballs. I also got pictures.

Well, after chillin' for hours he ends up just cramming it into the mailbox. I had to shred the envelope to get it out, but thankfully my craft exchange gift was unharmed. This was an event we had at Global Family Room.... check it out, I have a huge freakin' ad for Global Family Room right over there ----------->

Anyway, I got a cool wash cloth and a book mark. Jeni, this wash cloth with the horse head on it? That was what the red and white one I sent you was SUPPOSED to look like, hehehe! The horse head is much more noticeable in the one my swapper made.

Then I got this gorgeous blue knit shawl with fringe along the ends. I could not get a single picture of it that shows the colour accurately. It is a bit more smokey blue than it looks in this picture:

I couldn't get a decent picture of it on me, I'm having a bad hair/face/skin/everything day, lol. So I forced my poor red eyed child to model it for me. It is not as smokey grey looking as it looks in this picture, it is right smack dab in the middle of the two pictures when you see it in real life:

So THANK YOU Catrina! I LUFFFFF IT SOOOOO much!!!! I can't wait for chilly evenings so I can wear it. *MUAH*

It's the simple things that amuse me.

I have to admit i partially have the google ads on my blog for my own entertainment. Sure, it's nice to make a few pennies if someone clicks the ads but in reality I just get a huge amount of entertainment out of seeing what ads pop up according to what topics I have discussed recently. As an example, today I saw ads about gall bladder home remedies, hoof stands and organic cheese. Organic cheese? Yes. Organic cheese.

Another thing that amuses me are these "words" you have to type in at some blogs before posting a comment. Most of the time they are not actual words, but they REALLY look like they should be! I wish I had taken notes on some of them. I'm going to start writing them down and making up definitions for them. Maybe I will save up enough to make a whole post. Hehe.

Today is the last day of school for this school year. Half day. I have to go pick my kid up so she can clean out her filthy locker. I'm looking forward to not having to get up at 4am for the next few months.

All of my gourds are planted. Now to just protect them from late frosts and keep them watered and wait.

Tsu got me the new Wii Active. It's a pretty good work out! More serious than the Wii Fit. I like it. I'm back watching what I eat and working out and I have gained 3 pounds. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Maybe it is because I am drinking more water like I am supposed to be. I dunno, but it is annoying.

Sad sad day....

Rest In Peace David Carradine. May you find the peace in death that so obviously evaded you in life. Thank you for so many many hours of entertainment.
